Chicken-Tikka-Masala-1

Vegan Cauliflower Chickpea Tikka Masala

.

Tikka masala is usually a spicy chicken dish .  Chicken tikka masala is chicken tikka , chunks of chicken marinated in spices and yogurt  that is then baked in a tandoor oven, and served in a masala (spice mix ) sauce.

.
Wink ! Wink !

.
.
Okay , So about  5000 years ago when tandoor clay ovens were invented ,  locals were beginning to raise chickens at the same time and realized both made an awesome combination.
.
And thanks to the nitpicking of an emperor, Babur,      bab   ,  the founder of the Mughal dynasty in South Asia ,  who was so sick (or afraid) of choking on the chicken bones, he ordered his Punjabi chefs to remove the bones before cooking the meat in the tandoor. The resulting delicacy was called – Joleh, Persian for Tikka.
.
A masala is any of the many spice mixes  used in Indian cuisine. The name comes from the Hindi  word for spice.
.

Sooooooo………..

.

.

It has been claimed ,CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA  ,  is to have originated in Glasgow ( Yes ,  the one in Scotland ! )glas
and it  is among the UK’S most popular dishes, leading a government minister, Robin Cook to claim in 2001 that it was a British National dish.
Those crazy Brits   cbr        they wanting it  to be a symbol of modern multicultural Britain.
So  ,   it is Indian like you thought ….  and Scottish…… and English  …. well sort of ….but not really  …. should be very clear now .
