ITRALIAN GRINDER ( SUB ) ( HERO )

So, ok ,   yes,   that is prosciutto you see on dis samwhich …….. itsa really good Itralian  ting.

This is pretty easy and it goes together quick it’s alot  richer than any thing you’ll get at those chain stores

2 large egg yolks

1/2 lemon –  the juice ( no seeds )

2 garlic cloves – smashed and minced

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

4 8 ” hoagie rolls

( I was in the bakery and got some portuguese rolls   – you should try to get a roll with big pores in the bread like this and a good crust

8 slices Mortadella    ( ya gotta go to da deli )
8 slices of Genoa salami  ( get this also at da deli )
4 thin slices of Prosciutto ( you guessed it !  at da deli )
4 slices o Provolone  cheese   ( yous could buy it in a zip lock bag ….but… IT WILL BE WAY BETTER     >>>>>     AT DA DELI !!! )
2  Roma tomatoes or the ones on the vine – thinly sliced
some oregano
2 cup finely shredded iceberg lettuce ( as thin as you can cut it )
1/4 cup red vinegar
  preheat oven to 375′
 in a large bowl Whisk egg yolks lemon juice and garlic
Slowly add oil a few drops at a time until it starts to thicken then gradually add the rest of the veg oil and 1/2 cup of the olive oil  WHISK  WHISK   WISKING ALL THE TIME
Salt and Pepper  to taste — THIS IS GARLIC  AOLI  — YOU GONNA LOVE IT
 Bake the close rolls for 3 minutes on a foil lined cookie sheet
open rolls and spread Aioli on cut sides
To bottom half with sliced meats and cheese and sprinkle with oregano
Bake for 5 min
Top with Tomatoes , salt and Pepper
Top with lettuce and drizzle with vinegar and olive oil
Eat and Enjoy !
