Okay, So its  fall and time to start making soups. I am going to start with a all-time favorite. It’s good and good for what ails you. And Dave wanted it too

Homemade chicken Soup

1 whole Chicken

2 onions (with skin on) slightly char on gas burner, then chop into 4 pieces

1 green pepper chopped

3 carrots chopped in 1″ pieces

3 stalks celery chopped into 1″pieces

1 tomato chopped

1/4 cup Worcestershire  sauce

1 Tbsp oregano

1 Tbsp basil

2 tsp  kosher salt

1 tsp fresh ground pepper

Dash or two of hot pepper sauce

5 chicken bullion cubes

Kluski noodles

Put chicken in large pot and cover with water SIMMER               ( NEVER  !!! NEVER!!! BOIL!!!)                      for 20 min . Skim off scum

Add all other ingredients

SIMMER until you can mush the carrots with the back of wooden mixing spoon

( about 3 hours)

Make Kluski Noodles according to package instructions

pour soup over top of noodle in a bowl and enjoy

You can also saute thin slices carrots and celery in butter and add them. And you can save some of the chicken and add that too.

I just made a 3 gallon pot of this and it’s ther perfect dish for not only health reasons but it’ll get you through this bitter cold. I’d put up my picture of of it but the website won’t allow it. Thanks for a great soup!
